Misan Harriman’s ‘The After’ Wins Best Live Action Award at Oscar-Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival

Misan Harriman’s debut short film has won the Best Live Action award at the HollyShorts Film Festival, and has therefore qualified for the 2024 Oscar’s, where it premiered to rave reviews on 10th August, screening at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres. THE AFTER is Harriman’s first short film as a director based on a story by Harriman, with screenplay by new writer John Julius Schwabach, made for Netflix. The film stars David Oyelowo (Selma, A United Kingdom, See How They Run), as Dayo, a Londoner who has to reconnect with himself and society after witnessing a devastating, random attack in the capital.
